Aikido institute  federate a group of dojos centered on "'aikido du rhone" and represent almost 500 aikido students mainly located around Lyon (France)..
 
Each of the dojos propose to practice the aikido directly learned from sensei KOBAYASHI (8th dan), ushi dechi of the aikido's founder O sensei morihei UESHIBA, during many years . Technical direction of the institute  is ensured by  étienne LEMAN sensei (6th dan), direct student from  sensei KOBAYASHI.

The aikido proposed by the institute is convenient for student of all ages (adults and children from 6).The practice concern  each aspect of this martial art: hand techniques, weapons of aikido (boken -sword-, jo -stick- et tanto -knife-)  and taiso (japanese fitness  founded  on respiratory exercises and easing movements). 

Each student can follow regular training (see schedule by each dojo) or courses of one or two days long. Some courses ares especially centered on a particular aspect of the practice of aikido (weapons or taiso for example).  A learning course is especially designed for aikido's teachers and elevated students.
